2 At A Time: Delivering Two 20' Containers On One Truck
Getting into position to drop two 20' containers
We recently delivered two 20' containers to a customer's location. I went along to video how this works and to show what is involved in delivery of two 20's at once.
The customer ordered two modified 20' containers. The driver dropped them next to a ramp going into their warehouse space. A forklift later came and moved them into position in the building, but first we needed to get them on the ground and ready!

Check out this video of how it works. You can see the first end of the first container being put in place, the containers getting chained to each other and the first container set down. The driver pulls them forward to give a little more space between the wall and the container. Then he unchains the container, pulls the second container up and gets it ready to pull forward to clear the first container, then sets that one done.
I stopped and started the video during the whole process. It took about 20 min from start to finish once the truck was backed into place.
We could have re-positioned and set them next to each other. In this particular case, that would have made things harder for the customer.
